Unto Your Majesties of Atlantia, King Dietrich and Queen Thora, Your
Highnesses of Atlantia, Prince William and Princess Alyna, and the good
populace of Atlantia does Cian Triton, Principal Herald, send greetings!

With many apologies for the lateness of this court report, I wish to
announce the happenings from the Spring Crown Tournament held in the
Barony of Sacred Stone. Please be reassured that the official court
report was sent in on time, but the longer version has taken longer than
anticipated.

It was a beautiful Saturday morning, perfect weather for a Crown
Tournament to be held to discover who the heirs to the Kingdom of
Atlantia would be. The pavilions were set up, the merchants were hawking
their wares, the mighty warriors were arming themselves and preparing
for battle, and the Ministers of the List were getting their lists and
shield tree prepared for an exciting tournament.

Their Majesties did stride upon the field, and bade Their herald to open
a court and summon Duchess Brianna O Duinn before Them. As Her Grace
made her way into court before Their Majesties, moving as regally as she
always does, Their Majesties spoke of all that the Duchess has done for
the Kingdom, and the many events that she has performed service at. It
was Their Majesties’ pleasure to have read a Writ, commanding Her Grace
to sit vigil at a future event to consider joining the most noble Order
of the Pelican. The assembled populace were most thrilled to hear of
this well deserved recognition, and it is my understanding that the
vigil will occur at Sacred Stone Baronial Birthday in September.

Having no further business, Their Majesties closed court, and retired to
Their thrones to await the procession and the tournament itself.

Following a wonderful day of heraldry and fighting, by the end of the
tournament, one man remained standing to claim the honor of Prince of
Atlantia. Their Majesties did rightfully crown William Thomas as the
Crown Prince, and Alyna of the Vale as the Crown Princess.

After a period of rest and relaxation, as well as some additional
pick-up fighting, the populace did gather under the covered pavilion for
the evening Royal Court.

Their Majesties, Their Excellencies of Sacred Stone, and Their
Highnesses did process into court to take Their seats upon the thrones.
The populace was asked to be seated, and Royal Court was opened. Their
Majesties took a few moments to welcome everyone and to speak of how
pleased They were at the fighting that took place earlier, and They
welcomed Their heirs.

Her Excellency of Hidden Mountain, Baroness Asta, was called forth,
along with Lady Clara inghen Rhuardri. Baroness Asta wished to recognize
Lady Clara in Royal Court. It seems that the Canton of Tears-sea-shore
Chatelaine was unable to attend a previous event, where she was awarded
Arms by Their Majesties, and Her Excellency wanted to make sure that
Lady Clara had a moment in Royal court.

The newcomers were invited forward, where they were greeted warmly by
Their Majesties and given a token to remember their first event by.

Sir Axel of Tavastia was invited into court to swear his oath of fealty.
The hall rang out with his booming voice, swearing fealty in Norse!
Fortunately for the assembled populace, he then repeated it in English.
Queen Thora then responded with Their response….in Norse. The look on
Sir Axel’s face was a sight to behold, as he was not expecting it.

As Sir Axel tried to retire to the back of the hall, Their Majesties
stopped him, and spoke of his untiring work with the youth of Atlantia
and teaching them combat. For this, They were minded to give him the
Award of the Star of the Sea.

Caterina de Paulo, the Royal Scrivener, was summoned before Their
Majesties to announce the winners of the scribal competition sponsored
by the Royal scriveners of Atlantia.

As Caterina was finishing and preparing to return to her seat, Their
Majesties reminder her that she had not yet been dismissed. They spoke
of her amazing work as a scribe, and They wished to reward her with a
Coral Branch, which also conveys an Award of Arms. Lady Caterina was
beaming from ear to ear as she finally had leave to return to her seat.

Sir Harald Brandarm was called into court, and Their Majesties commended
him on his fighting ability and skill, and then had Their Order of the
Sea Stag called in to welcome their newest member. The medallion was
given to Sir Harold by his lady wife, Mistress Ceridwen ferch Owain.

The autocrat came forth to thank her staff and everyone for attending,
and handed out the various prizes from the competitions that were held.

Baroness Elizabeth of Rosewood, commonly known as Shrewlet, was called
forth into court from the kitchen where she had been helping cook feast.
Her Majesty spoke of all the service that Shrewlet has done for her over
the years, and presented her with an Undine.

As Shrewlet prepared to leave, Their Majesties reminded her that she had
not been given leave to depart. As Her Majesty began to say a few more
things, the Triton Herald interrupted, saying that there was a problem,
and asked permission to come before the thrones.

Triton reminded Their Majesties of a tradition in Atlantia that one must
be taller than the scroll to receive it, and then he held out a scroll
which unraveled to approximately 15 feet in length.

Laughter erupted throughout the hall, and Shrewlet buried her face in
her hands as she (probably) contemplated dismembering her protégé brother.

Their Majesties and Triton did agree that some traditions can be set
aside for the greater good at times, and They proceeded to continue with
court. A smaller scroll was produced, and words rang out, instructing
Shrewlet to sit vigil at Ruby Joust to contemplate joining the Order of
the Pelican. A weeping Baroness Elizabeth of Rosewood was helped to her
feet and turned around so that she could see the entire populace on
their feet, cheering and applauding for this most deserving honor!

Following that momentous moment, Their Majesties had Their Court closed,
and processed out, accompanied by Their Excellencies of Sacred Stone and
Their Highness of Atlantia.

After Evening Court, there was a small private court opened up to make
some awards official, though the recipient was not present in court. The
following two awards have been presented to the recipients at this time:
Jason of Bordervale Keep – Award of Arms.

Baroness Beatrice von Staufen – Award of the Star of the Sea.

These events are all accurate to the best of my recollection.

Again, my apologies for taking so long to get this out, but know that
the official court report was entered into the OP in a timely manner.

-Cian Triton
