show by Sir Terry Pratchett. If you could, please share with your
membership.

Thanks!

*FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:*

*Sterling Playmakers Bring Death to Life on Stage in Terry Pratchett’s Mort*

*Show opens Thursday, February 18, for two-week run*

*Sterling, Va.—*On Thursday, February 18, the Sterling Playmakers will open
Terry Pratchett’s *Mort*—the first time this play has been brought to the
stage in this area. Terry Pratchett, a renowned writer of fantasy novels,
created Discworld—an alternate reality where magic lives and the octarine
is the eight color. In this world, Death has decided to take on apprentice
and start enjoying some time off. Mort, a boy from the farmlands, and
quickly shown his way around a scythe. He also meets Binky, Death’s noble
steed.

However, the problem with having a human do the job of the Grim Reaper is
that humans have a nasty habit of being human. Mort struggles to find
meaning in his new job, while Death reminds him that “There is no
justice…there’s just me.”

Directed by Susan Kronenberg, a Sterling resident, as a labor of love for
the wit of Terry Pratchett and the world he created, this is a must-see
