[Atlantia-Announce] Scribal Competition at Pre-Pennsic War Practice at Elchenburg!

Greetings,
With war upon us the fighters and archers are preparing for batle.  But we must remember that there is also a war court to be held and scrolls will be needed for those fine gentles being honored at that gathering.
To that end I am sponsoring a scribal competition at Pre-Pennsic War Practice at Elchenburg Castle in Boonville, NC July 10-12 - http://acorn.atlantia.sca.org/event_flyer.php?event_id=38365884.  The competition is for blank scrolls for Atlantian non-armigerous and AoA-level awards.  Expectations of content and design for these blanks can be found in the Atlantian Scribal Handbook - http://scribe.atlantia.sca.org/resources/ASHandbook2008.pdf - pp. 13-42.  There will be separate categories for Novice (scribes who have worked 1 year or less) and Established scribes.  Minimal documentation is required and can be recorded on the EZ-Doc form - http://larsdatter.com/ezdoc/basic.pdf.  Judging will be conducted based on Atlantian standards for Illumination - http://moas.atlantia.sca.org/judging/illum.pdf.
As our commanders prepare our troops for battle let the scribes prepare Their Majesties to honor our fine kingdom's citizens in Their war court!
