[Atlantia-Announce] Evening Court report of King Logan and Queen Esa - at the Coronation of King Logan and Queen Esa

Unto Your Majesties King Logan and Queen Esa, The Atlantian College of 
Heralds and Scribes, and the populace of the Kingdom of Atlantia does 
Cian Triton, Principal Herald of Atlantia send greetings this day!

On Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Coronation of King Logan and Queen 
Esa, held in the Barony of Windmasters' Hill, Their Majesties Logan and 
Esa, King and Queen of Atlantia, did process in before the populace to 
hold Their court in the evening.

After being seated upon the Atlantian thrones, Their Majesties had the 
herald bid the populace to be seated and pay attention, as Their court 
was opened.

Their Majesties welcomed the populace, and thanked everyone for coming 
to Their coronation, and were appreciative of the support given to Them.
Their Majesties then gave Their Excellencies of Windmasters' Hill 
permission to open a Baronial Court, which will be reported on 
seperately by the Baronial herald.

Following the Baronial Court of Windmasters' Hill, Their Majesties had 
the autocrat of the event come forward to speak.  The autocrat announced 
various winners from the many tournaments and competitions that occurred 
throughout the day.  She also informed everyone that around 350 people 
were in attendance, including 33 rapier fighters and 22 armored 
fighters.  She thanked her staff for all of their assistance, and as she 
retired from the stage, cherrs from the populace rang loudly throughout 
the hall.

Representatives from the Canton of Kappellenberg were invited before 
Their Majesties, where gifts of silk banners bearing the arms of the 
King of Atlantia and the Queen of Atlantia were presented.
The Poetia Atlantia, Lady Dierdre O'Bardon, was invited into Court, 
where she shared infomation about the Poetia Altantia competition, and 
then passed the accoutrements of the position to the new Poetia 
Atlantia, Lady Katarzyna Witkowska.  Cheers were commanded in 
celebration of the new Poetia Atlantia!

Her Grace Duchess Simone, Kingdom Seneschal of Atlantia, was invited 
before the populace to make an announcement about the new Event Bid 
deputy, Lady Emeludt Hänsler.  The Seneschal announced that bids for 
Kingdom events were very much in need, and that they should be sent to 
Lady Emeludt as soon as possible.

Lady Aemelia Rosa, Scrivener Royal, was called forth to announce the 
results of the Scrivener Royal competition, and was pleased to pass on 
the Royal Scriver items to Lady Failenn Chu Inghean Fhaelain, who will 
serve during the reign of King Logan and Queen Esa.  A beautiful scroll 
in honor of the Scrivener Royal position, done by Lady Aemilia Rosa, was 
presented to the new Scriviner Royal.

The newcomers were invited to come before Their Majesties, who thanked 
them for coming and presented each with a small toen to remember their 
first event.  His Majesty the King was taken with the young newborn who 
was in attendance.  It seems that the baby's name is "Logan", and the 
irony is that the baby's father is named "Michael".  His Majesty enjoyed 
the symbolism.

Their Majesties had the winners of the Youth Combat tournaments come 
forward before Them, and they presented both youngsters with a special 
medallion and asked them to serve as Their Youth Champions.  Edward T. 
agreed to serve as the Youth Heavy Champion, and William G. agreed to 
serve as the Youth Rapier Champion.  Both of them then joined the 
retainers and guards behind the thrones.

The Children in the audience were asked to come forward, where Their 
Majesties spoke to them briefly before allowing them to choose a toy 
from the Kingdom Toy Box.  By the time the large horde of children were 
done, the toy box was considerably lighter.

After the children returned to their seats, Their Majesties rose to 
stand before Their populace.  His Majesty spoke of history in the 
making, with a new Peerage being formed, and how please He was to be 
able to be a part of the first elevations.  Their Majesties had decided 
on the first 3 noble rapier fighters to be inducted into the Order of 
Defense for the Kingdom of Atlantia, and had Their herald call forth 
Master Aedan Aylwyn, Master Alan of Gravesend, and Master Giacomo 
Vincenti to come kneel before Them.  Their Majesties explained that the 
three nobles before Them were being given a writ to appear at a future 
event to contemplate joining the Order of Defence.  King Logan informed 
the populace that although May 1 was the first date that anyone in the 
Society could become a Peer of the new Order, that was also the weekend 
of the Crown Tournament, which His Majesty felt should be a focus on the 
new Heirs of the Kingdom.  Therefore, because of Precedence, Their 
Majesties were going to technically elevate these three into the new 
Order by announcing it in Court, the actual vigil and formal elevation 
would take place at Pennsic, where Their Majesties were going to invite 
all other members of the Order Society-wide to come and offer counsel 
during the vigil.  Their Majesties then had Their herald read the 
official Writ, which also charges Master Aedan, Master Alan, and Master 
Giacomo with establishing the ceremonies, traditions, and qualities for 
the Order, and to be prepared to give counsel to Their Majesties, 
current and future.

As three very humbled masters of the rapier returned to their seats, the 
populace erupted in loud cheers!

Their being no further business, Their Majesties did close Their court, 
and processed out among the cheering populace.

Thus ends my report of the evening court of King Logan and Queen Esa at 
their Coronation.
