As with all SCA events, volunteers are needed in virtually every area to  
make an event successful. The more people who volunteer, the less any one 
person  has to carry alone.  Won't you consider serving at least one two-hour 
shift  in some department for War of the Wings?
 
Whether it's welcoming event arrivals at Troll, manning an event Gate,  
replenishing water coolers, picking up a single piece of trash...  Everyone  
has it in their power to make the event better for everyone else through some  
small act of service.
 
Everyone who works a volunteer shift, in any event department, will be  
given Volunteer Tickets.  Take the tickets you earn to  Information/Volunteer 
Point.  There, you may select any branch of Atlantia  to directly benefit 
from your volunteer hours in the form of cold, hard,  cash!  That's right, a 
percentage of the event's profits have been  allocated for a volunteer fund 
that will be shared amongst everyone in  Atlantia!
 
Information/Volunteer Point will have a giant map of Atlantia and  
designated slots into which you can drop your volunteer tickets.  Every  single 
ticket you deposit translates into money for the SCA branch of your  choice.  
There will also be slots for dedicated funds like the Kingdom  Travel Fund.  
Not from Atlantia and still volunteering for WoW (thank you  for that!), you 
can use the write in slot.  ANY officially recognized SCA  account (i.e. has 
SCA Inc. in it) can receive a share of the volunteer.
 
Your volunteer service has always been gold to us.  Let it be gold for  
your branch as well.
