On February 12, the Barony of Bright Hills will celebrate its Baronial Birthday.  This year's theme is "Nowruz," the Persian New Year.  Our celebration will focus on the period following the demise of the Caliphate (661) and the subsequent re-emergence of Persian dynasties such as the Samanids and Buyids, up to the time of the Mongol invaders (1219).  There will be several competitions at this event for your participation:
 
Persian Garb Competition - Garb must be made by the participant and can be worn by the participant or someone else.  Documentation required.
Haft Sin Table decorating competition - Table space must be reserved ahead of time through the co-autocrat, Katarzyna Witkowska, Documentation required. Sponsored by co-autocrat Countess Rowan.
Persian Sekunjabin Competition - Documentation required.  Sponsored by Livia di Samuele.
Children's Gold Fish Pond Game sponsored by co-autocrat Countess Rowan.
Bardic Bear Pit - Details to be announced.
